Most drum groups feature drums, bells and shakers to create great grooves!...

• You can make drums (a great project for students) out of plastic containers (anywhere from 5 gallon pales to large plastic drums-15 gallons and larger). If you use plastic stix made from golf tubes (available at a sporting goods store-they use them to keep golf clubs separated in a golf bag, they are .99 each, and you cut off the lip and in half using scissors), they sound great.

• You can also make shakers out of cans and rice (tennis ball containers are great)

• Bells, like cowbells, can be made out of pot lids (older ones sound great, available at thrift stores for .50/each.) Two together make a great "A go-go bell".
