ABOUT THE DRUM EXCHANGE:
As a kid, Ed Hartman hung out in the famous drum shops of downtown Chicago. Based on his many years of experience as a percussion teacher, performer and composer, Ed founded The Drum Exchange in 1992. It is the only independently owned specialty drum shop within Seattle, Washington. The Drum Exchange offers a mixture of new and used percussion gear at discounted prices. We are always on the search for items that have “character” or a unique function/features. There’s a saying “One man’s trash is another man’s drumset” and with the help of some cleaning, repair and a thorough inspection, we can transform used gear so it’s as good as new (for a lot less money)! We also serve as a resource for drummers by providing regular newsletters (which includes percussion events), free information guides, in-store clinics and a community board to link drummers with bands.
